Oakman suffered its first setback of the season on the road, falling to Hale County 54-27 on Friday night.
The Wildcats stuck with Hale County into the second quarter before the home team erupted for three scores for a 35-14 halftime lead.
Tyler Thomas led the Oakman offense in the game, rushing 22 times for 114 yards and two scores.
Bridger Upton added 58 yards and a score on nine carries.
Oakman (1-1) opens region play at home next week against Carbon Hill.
