Addison's Kaden Dyson threw a touchdown pass and rushed for a score to lead the Bulldogs to a 36-20 victory over No. 5 Decatur Heritage at A.G. Hicks StadIum on Friday night.
The teams were tied at the half, but Addison struck for three third-quarter touchdowns to put the game out of reach.
Dyson hit Owen Pratt for a 72-yard touchdown strike to put the Bulldogs up 22-14 in the third quarter. Zayne Smith added the 2-point conversion.
Smith and Seth Hammack followed with touchdown runs for a 36-14 lead going into the final quarter.
Dyson completed 5 of 5 passes for 164 yards with a score. He also rushed 13 times for 50 yards and a touchdown. Hammack totaled 114 yards (72 receiving and 43 rushing) with a touchdown. Smith rushed for 30 yards and two scores on eight carries.
Addison (1-1) opens region play at home against Shoals Christian next week.
