ernestdefoe We now have the ability for push notifications by installing a PWA (Progressive Web App) there are various ways to do this based on the type of device you are using. Do a search for how to install a PWA on your device. It may take a day or two for the push notifications to work for you but eventually they will.
Vercingetorix As I understand, it usually takes a few visits to a PWA equipped site before the browser randomly starts occasionally presenting an 'Install PWA' notification to the user. Kind of annoying coz I missed the PWA notification a few days ago on one of my sites…😂and haven't seen again it since.
ernestdefoe Vercingetorix well it popped up right away for me. Well I added it to my Home Screen which is all you have to do to enable a PWA but the push notifications took longer to start working but they finally did.
Vercingetorix ernestdefoe Is there a set option to select install PWA? Or…nah, is it still arbitrarily decided by whatever browser we're using?
Vercingetorix Got it (the notification) just now, hit install immediately. •ALBHSFB-PWA✓ All systems lookin' good!
ernestdefoe Vercingetorix glad it showed up for you. It may still take a bit for the push notifications to work though.
Vercingetorix ernestdefoe Oh, no worries about the push notifications at all. The email notifications are more than sufficient I reckon. Regardless, one of the great aspects of these PWAs is how much smoother the mobile experience is.
